Seniors Fellowship
The seniors' ministry at First Baptists Church offers a variety of spiritual and social activities. The ministry seeks to involve other groups in the church to assist in meeting the needs of seniors. The seniors call themselves the "XYZers" which stands for eXtra Years of Zest. We meet monthly and dine at a local restaurant or have a pot luck at the church. We have taken day trips to Smith Island, Queenstown, and other locations. We have had special speakers come and talk to the group on subjects ranging from health to personal travels overseas.
Essential to a thriving seniors' ministry is a variety of other ministries in the church conducting activities that are open to seniors. Since our church offers a wide range of children and adult activities, our seniors have many opportunities to frolic and fellowship and above all glorify the Lord!
We would love to have you join us on one of our outings. There is always a sign-up sheet in the foyer with the date and destination of the next available outing. Sign up and plan to have a wonderful time in good Christian fellowship.
