Men's Softball
First Baptist Church is a member of the Calvert County Men's Christian Softball League. Each season the FBC men take part in a season comprised of approximately 12-15 game double header against various churches throughout Southern Maryland.
The season eventually culminates into a two day tournament in early August every year where the various teams throughout the league take part in a very competitive 2 day tournament to determine the season champions.
First Baptist Church was crowned as the 2009 tournament Champions!
The league is open to men ages 15- 90, and utilizes a 6'-12' arc, slow pitch format. FBC currently has one team in the 12 team league. We are exploring the option of having two teams in the summer of 2010.
The Men's Softball team is a wonderful opportunity for all of Christ's followers to fellowship as believers and provide sound examples to our community of what an everyday Christian lives and looks like. It also enables us to welcome new believers and young Christians into our fellowship and hopefully eventually our Church family.
